Plant extracts

The healthiest plants for your body

The LYL immunUP® formula combines plant extracts which have been known for their healing properties for centuries and have are appreciated by modern medicine as well.

Active ingredients: Echinacea(Echinacea purpurea), echinacoside, cynarine, cichoric acid, Heteroxylon, arabinogalactan.

Of all immunity boosting medicinal plants Echinacea is number one – it guards your immunity by promoting your body’s immune responses. It has been proven that people supplementing their diet with Echinacea catch colds are 58% less likely to catch cold. It is even better to use Echinacea in combination with vitamin C – according to studies this ensures an 86% less likelihood of getting a cough.

  • supports and reinforces the immune system (antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial properties) – activates phagocytes, stimulates fibroblasts, raises the immunoglobulin level and promotes activity of other immunocompetent cells, stimulates cellular and humoral immunity;
  • saliva of people taking Echinacea displays higher levels of salivary immunoglobulin A (slgA) – an antibacterial agent.
  • reduces the number of colds, reduces duration of the illness, improves cold symptoms;
  • strong antioxidative properties;
  • calming and soothing effect on the throat, airways, vocal chords, reduces itchiness in the throat;
  • maintains defences of your airways;
  • helps maintain urinary tract health;
  • promotes healing of wounds;
  • has antitumor activity.

Active ingredients: acerola cherries(Malpighiaglabra),carotenoids, bioflavonoids, quercetin, C3R, P3R.

Vitamin C is not found in isolated form in fruits and vegetables as it is always part of a complex. The vitamin C derived from the extract of acerola cherries is also obtained from a complex consisting of various biologically active substances – bioflavonoids, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. These substances work in synergy in the body and do not disrupt the balance of other nutrients (synthetic vitamin C can cause lowered levels of iron and copper). Natural vitamin C is nontoxic, it is significantly less acidic and less of it is expelled by the body. It is absorbed especially well and provides the full spectrum of benefits that nature intended for vitamin C to have.

  • an important source of natural vitamin C (695-4827 mg vitamin C/100 g fruit);
  • strong antioxidative properties – decreases oxidative stress, improves the functioning of the immune system.

Active ingredients: black garlic (Allium sativum), a-allyl cysteine, s-allylmercaptocysteine, n-fructosylarginine, diallylsulfide (DAD), diallyldisulfide (DADS), allysine.

The main value of garlic is the chemical compounds which, upon breaking down, release substances with pronounced antibacterial and antifungal properties. Furthermore, these substances are capable of fighting and blocking enzymes that allow the body to damage its own tissue. Chemically produced medicines, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, have the same effect; however, garlic is a clean and natural source. Interestingly enough – viruses do not adapt to the active substances in garlic. Today, when medicines are often powerless in the face of viruses, this is an important argument to take into account.

  • supports the body’s natural defences, improves defence abilities of macrophages and T-cells, guards against colds and flu;
  • pronounced antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties, which microbes do not adapt to;
  • antioxidative properties;
  • blocks enzymes that damage and inflame tissue;
  • calming and soothing effect on the throat, airways, vocal chords, reduces itchiness in the throat, maintains optimal defences of your airways;
  • improves carbohydrate metabolism and stabilises blood glucose levels;
  • improves insulin sensitivity for people with reduced sensitivity;
  • maintains a normal blood cholesterol level;
  • antithrombotic properties;
  • promotes circulation;
  • protects the liver;
  • anticancer properties.

Linden flowers

Active ingredients: linden flowers(Tilliaplatyphylloss), kaempferol, quercetin, myricetin, saponin, tannin, tocopherol, citral, citronellal, citronellol, eugenol, limonene, nerol, a-pineneterpineol, farnesol.

Bioflavonoids, including quercetin, kaempferol, tiliroside, are the ingredients of linden flowers that have a beneficial effect on the immune system and the body’s defensive abilities. This is mostly due to the fact that the ingredients decrease oxidative stress in the body.

  • positive effect on the immune system and the body’s defence abilities – reduces oxidative stress in the body;
  • reduces cold symptoms;
  • softens a dry cough;
  • prevents sleep disorders, promotes healthy sleep cycles;
  • reduces stress, anxiety, promotes relaxation;
  • lowers blood pressure caused from a strained nervous system;
  • perspiratory and diuretic effects;
  • relieves headaches and migraines;
  • reduces panic attacks;
  • hepatoprotective properties;
  • antimicrobial and antifungal properties;
  • antidiabetic properties;
  • reduces fat absorption – blocks the enzymes (pancreatic lipase) responsible for fat hydrolysis.

Active ingredients: curcumin(Curcuma longa), demetoxicurcumin,bisdemetoxicurcumin, tumerone, atlantone, zingiberone.

Turmeric improves the health of immune cells by “tidying up” cell membranes. It has antioxidative properties and perhaps that is why in a study with smokers supplementation of turmeric significantly decreased the secretion of individual cancer markers.

  • strong antioxidative properties – reduces oxidative stress and maintains the body’s abilities to fight off development of allergies;
  • maintains efficient functioning of the immune system by promoting reproduction of immune cells (T-cells, B-cells, macrophages, neutrophils, killer cells and dendritic cells) and the immune response;
  • antimicrobial properties – blocks growth of various bacteria, parasites and pathogens;
  • reduces inflammation by blocking inflammation factor (NF-kB) and reproduction of cells infected withHelicobacter Pylori;
  • promotes healing of wounds;
  • maintains healthy skin;
  • beneficial effects for heart and vascular health – improves blood quality, circulation and heart function, maintains healthy cholesterol levels, reduces triglyceride levels and prevents accumulation of “bad” cholesterol;
  • promotes gastrointestinal health;
  • helps maintain pulmonary and upper respiratory health, cleans the lungs;
  • reduces knee and joint pain;
  • improves liver function, helps maintain a healthy liver, similar effects to silymarin;
  • supports and stabilises functioning of the nervous system;
  • delays development of certain tumour cells;
  • delays early aging;
  • protects the brain – promotes expulsion of heavy metals (cadmium, lead) from the body;
  • for smokers supplementation with turmeric reduces appearance of certain cancer markers.

Active ingredients: rosemary(Rosmarinusofficinalis), rosmarinic acid, carnosic acid, carnosol, rosmanol, genkwanin, cirsimaritin, homoplantaginin, ursolic acid.

Rosemary contains bitterants, resin, tannin, essential oils and flavonoids, which have a proven positive effect on respiratory health. The biggest health benefits of rosemary are experienced by people who do not have enough protein in their diets or who have an antioxidant deficiency.
